JCAD pes

JCAD pes is CAD software for wooden element design, based on the latest technology. The key in the software’s development was ease of use and ease of implementation – without compromising software features.

JCAD pes allows element designing engineers to use layouts made by architects and structural design engineers: the elements can be defined and placed based on these in a cross-section. JCAD pes will simultaneously generate a 3-dimensional building model of the elements as a separate view. The 3-D model can be freely rotated and viewed from different angles and directions. This makes designing visual, and it will be easier to observe any problematic points early in the design process. A single element can be picked into its own 3-D view from the building model to further edit its details. All changes will be updated in realtime in the building model where the whole entity is always available for viewing.

An element-specific element diagram (for each element) can be fully automatically generated with a single command. The element diagram also includes a bill of quantity showing the timber required for the element in question. A timber bill of quantity for the entire project can also be generated in the Excel format.
